Chasez and Timberlake have since made one more track
together, another relationship exposé called "It's Over Before
It Began." We just wanted to find interesting perspectives, and that is what I do with my songwriting make sure the story is there. |

What is your favorite song on the
new album? Kate is my favorite song. Its an imaginary person I have created as my muse. Some days shes wonderful; some days shes a horrible human being. In fact, the name of the album might be changed to Kate. |

Does he miss the days with NSync, when the boys band
was the talk of that town? Not at all. It was a period in my life that I enjoyed very much," Chasez says. "Like high school. You go on. This is my focus now. |

Chasez says one of the reasons he
and Timberlake hooked up was to "squash all of that nonsense"
that in a post-'N Sync world, the two were more about competition than
friendship. 'N Sync was fantastic. It was fun -- it was, it was, it was. And it would be fun now, maybe. But it's not where our hearts and our minds are. |

Asked why he is visiting radio stations to hype his
new single, Chasez answered, There are so many avenues for entertainment, but music belongs on radio. I wanted to reconnect with people at radio by hand-delivering the song city by city. |

The album, slated for a spring release,
is tentatively titled Kate, after Chasezs imaginary
muse. He co-wrote the album with the fictitious woman in mind. The songs,
and the unfaithful girlfriend, arent sewn in Chasezs reality,
though. " Its not a true story, but its been a true story, just not in my life, he said. |

When asked why he took his approach to a dance/pop direction,
he noted that high energy is a key component to his overall style. "Ballads put me to sleep. If I kept doing slow songs over and over I wouldn't be able to express myself the way I want to." |

Do you think your audience has changed
at all? Of course, nothing remains the same. I think people that were fans of mine before have grown up and they have to figure out if they're going to like this new sound or not. I don't think anything is a given. I feel I have to earn it every step of the way. |
