'N Sync Has Got 'No Strings' To Hold
Them Down 'N Sync's Jive debut album, No Strings Attached, debuted at Number One on the Billboard 200 chart, selling a record-setting 2.4 million copies in its first week. When you accomplish an amazing feat like 'N Sync just did, you don't have to explain anything to anybody. But just in case there are still any doubters, Justin Timberlake and the other four group members want to make it perfectly clear that they are here to stay. "I think that's the message we want to get across with No Strings Attached," he said. "There's, like, a preconception about what a group like us might be like, and that's not the case with us. From the very beginning, it's been us five that put ourselves together and we started singing while people were still working nine-to-fives, and we were rehearsing until midnight -- just singing together. I think that's the message we want to get across with No Strings Attached that there are no strings attached. You know, we don't have any strings attached." In other 'N Sync news, New York radio station Z100 was accused of allegedly auctioning off bogus half-eaten-by-Justin-Timberlake French toast, and the station has fought back with evidence. The French toast was put up for auction on Ebay by the radio station, which claimed Timberlake ate half of it, and University of Wisconsin student Kathy Summers paid a whopping $1,025 for the breakfast treat. 'N Sync members then told various media outlets that they never touched the infamous French toast in question. Now, on Z100's official website, there is a picture of Timberlake chewing on the infamous French toast while sitting in Z100's studios for an interview. 'N Sync's hit single "Bye, Bye, Bye" is at Number Five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Tomorrow evening (April 4), the group will perform on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
