Phil Collins Goes Ape With 'N Sync On 'Tarzan' With the single "You'll Be In My Heart" already getting airplay, the soundtrack to Walt Disney's new animated feature Tarzan, which features five new songs by Phil Collins, is set to hit stores on May 18 on Walt Disney Records. Collins's songs include "Two Worlds," "You'll Be In My Heart" (featuring Glenn Close), "Son Of Man," "Trashin' The Camp" (featuring Rosie O'Donnell), and "Strangers Like Me." Each track appears in arrangements that are used in the film and in Collins's own renditions. An interesting footnote: Collins's version of "You'll Be In My Heart" was co-produced by Grammy-winning Green Day/ Goo Goo Dolls producer Rob Cavallo. The former Genesis singer also teamed with pop favorites 'N Sync for an alternate version of the scat number "Trashin' The Camp." The album is rounded out with selections from the instrumental score by Mark Mancina. Collins is scheduled to perform at the New York and Los Angeles premieres of Tarzan. In other Collins news, he has another project slated for release this year: a live record from his big band, Hot Night In Paris, is due out in July. In addition, a Genesis greatest-hits set, which will feature a newly recorded version of "The Carpet Crawlers" featuring vocals by former Genesis frontmen Collins and Peter Gabriel, will be in stores this fall.
