'N Sync And Jennifer Lopez Kick With Women's Soccer

'N Sync, Billie, Jennifer Lopez, B*Witched, C Note, and Save Ferris are among the artists who will participate in the ceremonies and events of the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup, the world championship of women's soccer, on Saturday (June 19).

'N Sync and B*Witched will perform at the opening ceremonies at Giants Stadium in New Jersey when the first round of playoff matches begins. C Note and Noontime/ Epic up-and-coming recording artist Cha Cha will perform at the Adidas Soccer Labs, held in New York and Boston. Epic recording artist Anastacia will appear at the Adidas Party slated for July 9 at the Hollywood Entertainment Museum in Los Angeles.

Tickets for the opener and all matches of the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup, which will be played June 19 through July 10, can be purchased by calling 1-800-WWC-TIKS (1-800-992-8457). Cities and venues for the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup include Boston (Foxboro Stadium), Chicago (Soldier Field), Pasadena, Calif. (Rose Bowl), New York/ New Jersey (Giants Stadium), Portland, Ore., (Civic Stadium), San Francisco/ San Jose (Stanford Stadium and Spartan Stadium), and Washington, D.C. (Jack Kent Cooke Stadium).

The Women's World Cup Championship will be held July 10 at the Rose Bowl. Orange County ska band Save Ferris will play the Bud Light Party that evening. Also on July 10, Jennifer Lopez will sing for the WWC closing ceremonies, to be televised on the ABC network.
