'N Sync Visits Alabama As Pretty Boys Meet Good 'Ol
Boys Boy band 'N Sync joined the good ol' boys of Alabama in a Nashville studio early last week to record a cover of the pop sensation's "God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You" for the country supergroup's upcoming June release. Although the final product will have a much more country sound than the original top 10 hit, Alabama's Teddy Gentry said the band agreed to the idea, which was proposed by the bands' mutual label head Joe Galante, because it's "always trying to do something out of the box, and this is a great song." "Besides, how could we not be big fans of someone our kids are big fans of?" he added in a statement. "I think that our interpretation of the song will sound distinctively Alabama." The cover will be the first single from Twentieth Century, Alabama's 22nd RCA album. The original version is currently No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 after 19 weeks on the chart.
