How to go from to

This tutorial assumes that you know the basics of croping, sizing and changing to base layer, as well as the layout of your program. If you do not, please see Basics Tutorial #1 first.

1. First you want to take your brush and black out the hand.

2. Next Duplicate Layer > Soft Light.

3. Duplicate Base Layer again > Bring to top > De-saturate (ctrl/shift U) > Soft Light.

4. Layer on a Texture of your choice > Erase the side where his face is with a large soft brush > Set Opacity at about 89%.

5. Duplicate Base Layer > Bring to top > Overlay

6. Add your Text > Color Burn > Opacity 70%

7. Use the edge of your Texture now to add just a touch of color to the left edge > Erase excess

8. Layer on a fat border > Erase white middle part! > Overlay

9. Layer on another thinner border > Erase white middle part

And your done!
