A major crash of the server that held the Galleries and most of the Multimedia has moved things along a little faster than expected. All the files were lost and the host didn't make a backup because it was over 2 gigs. So, it's gone. I will start taking down pages as soon as Eva gets back from vacation so as not to confuse anyone.
Joanne
This is how I will be going about closing down this site:
Once we open the new Multimedia section at JC-Chasez.Net, I will be going through and double checking that I didn't miss moving any files to over there. As I go through and see that a file has indeed been moved I will delete it from this site.
Then I will start working my way through the other sections, etc. Once I am sure everything has been moved I will then close down this site completely.
Thank you so much to everyone who has emailed expressing sadness over TPF closing, but it's really just a change of venue. In my eyes I'm moving from a ground floor apartment to the penthouse! ![]()
Well, kinda but not really. Just in name, lol. As most of you know, Eva from JC-Chasez.Net and I have been sharing a gallery for awhile now. Heck, even before we shared the gallery we shared photos.
So I guess it was a natural step for us to combine our sites and do one together! Obviously JC-Chasez.Net is an uber awesome site name, so there was no question about going with that.
But no worries! Everything you find here can be found there. The Multimedia section still needs some work though, so we thought we'd open it on August 8th for JC's birthday. And yes, there will be new additions! ![]()
Because we wanted everything on one server a new Gallery has been created which you will have to register on, sorry! But there are now over 22,000 images for your enjoyment!
I have had a great time running The Passionate Fan, have made many good friends. I want to thank everyone who has helped out over the years, sent emails of encouragement when my frustration levels got high, or simply said hi and let me know all my hard work here was appreciated.
But it's time to move forward onto bigger and better things. So I hope you'll join me at my new home, JC-Chasez.Net!
Joanne
I just wanted to let everyone know that a MAJOR change will be happening with this site in the next few days. And because I have a mind-boggling amount of last minute work to get done I may not get around to updating this page or answering emails. Updates will still be made to the gallery, so just check in there.
Also just so people know, Eva is moving JC-Chasez.Net to new servers and may be offline for a few days. I know, everything happens at the same time, lol. But, all will be revealed soon! So thank you for your patience over the next couple days. I think it will be well worth the wait!
Joanne
PS - Have you heard? JC is working on a new film right now, tentatively titled '21 And A Wake Up'! It's a drama and he plays a Doctor. Very exciting!
Film to explore one week of war
HCM City — Chris T. McIntyre, an American independent film director and producer, is shooting the Rex Hotel in the centre of HCM City for a new movie entitled 21 and a Wake-uu..
The film is the first American film about the Second Indochina War to be shot on the locations where the real events took place.
Its budget is US$3 million.
21 and a Wake-up follows the lives of a dozen soldiers, doctors, nurses and journalists through a single week in 1971 as America’s commitment to the Indochina War waned and resources were held back.
At one point, the movie re-enacts the notorious Sai Gon press briefings held at the Rex, dubbed the Five O’clock Follies on account of the questionable spin on information given to the international press.
The film claims no sides in its politics, and only seeks to portray a unique historical moment in Vietnamese and American history.
McIntyre expects a December 2008 release for the film stateside and a spring release in Viet Nam. — VNS

...The judges' comments have been tougher this season, ranging from telling a group that a 10-year-old could do what they did to Shane Sparks cursing on national television. It's hard to know if this is the judges coming out of their shells or if they're being harder on the contestants, but Judge J.C. Chasez said the criterion for judging this season has not changed.
"Every time we do a show, we want to be blown away," he said. "That's it. That hasn't changed. I want to be awed; I want to be inspired. I want to see something that makes me want to do something. You know? And that's consistent every week. That's how I want to feel."...

Chasez Challenges the Dance Crews with his judging skills.
By Peter Gonzaga
Many of you know of JC Chasez from the group 'N Sync, the popular boy band that produced the superstar Justin Timberlake along with paparazzi chased Lance Bass. In 2004, Chasez released a solo album, Schizophrenic, and has gone on to write and produce for music acts such as Girls Aloud, Basement Jaxx, and the Backstreet Boys.
His new project that Chasez is currently working on is the popular MTV show "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew" in which he's a judge along with choreographer Shane Sparks and rap diva Lil Mama. Since the show's inception, he's been a judge that is particular with execution and choreography that sometimes leads to audience members booing him whenever he has a solid critique of any of the popular b-boy/dance crews. Don't call him a Simon Cowell because he understands the hardship the groups go through.
Check out JC's interview with LiveVideo this week, in which they give him some surprising news (which of course fans already knew,
)
